Books: Fiction

The best fiction does more than tell a story. It invites us to see the world through a different lens, deepens our understanding of others, and often leaves us reflecting on ourselves long after we’ve turned the final page.

This collection features novels that have moved, inspired or stayed with me. Whether beautifully written, thought-provoking or simply impossible to put down, each one has earned a place on my bookshelf, and I hope you’ll find one here to enjoy on yours.

Kelly’s Bookshelf

Paris

Paris is one of my favourite cities (along with New York and London), and over the years I’ve built quite a collection of books set in this beautiful city.

The Classics

Not every classic deserves its reputation. But, the books below have earned their place on my shelf, and have truly stood the test of time.

One of them even inspired the name of my miniature Dachshund, Gatsby.

Based on Fact

Although the books in this collection are works of fiction, they are inspired by real-life events or people.

Their blend of history and storytelling makes them worthy of a section of their own.

General Fiction

This section includes book with no specific theme. They are simply a really good read!

Daniel Silva

This is one of my favourite book series, and I’ve been reading it for more than 25 years.

Its central character, Gabriel Allon, is both an art restorer and a spy; a combination that makes the series unlike any other.

Please note: The books are not listed in order of publication.
